the hotel, Deco on 44, exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided impeccable service, making me feel right at home. the rooms were tastefully decorated with period features, and my King Suite, also known as the Moon Room, had a stunningly large balcony where I could relax and enjoy the view. the spacious and luxurious bathroom added to the overall comfort of the room. One of my favorite features of the hotel was the refreshing pool at the back, a tranquil oasis away from the bustling streets of Galle. the live music on the front lawn during dinner created a memorable and special ambiance. To top it all off, the turn-down service was thoughtful and charming, with frangipani flowers and elephant souvenirs adorning my bed each evening. Deco on 44 truly provides a quiet and luxurious home away from home in the heart of Galle Fort.
Nothing negative to say 😊.

The hotel's art deco theme and mosaic designs were absolutely delightful, bringing a touch of elegance and nostalgia to our stay. The general areas of the hotel were well-maintained and had a cozy atmosphere that made it easy for senior people like me to relax and enjoy. The accessibility within the hotel was excellent, with wide hallways, easy-to-navigate paths, and elevators available for those who needed them.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the children working there in terms of finding activities or excursions that are suitable for senior people.

The staff were sooooo friendly and went out of their way to make us feel like VIPs. We had a blast exploring Galle Harbour and checking out the Old Dutch Hospital, where we had the most epic party! The location was lit AF and the colonial vibes were on point. Plus, the breakfast spread was straight fire!
If I had to choose one thing, it would be that we wished there were more options for late-night fun. Like, we're young and ready to party, you know?

Lastly, the location within the city was spot-on, close to everything I wanted to see and admire, especially the beautiful sea wall.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel in the old fort area. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a powerful shower. The hotel had a nice pool where we could cool off after a hot day exploring Galle. We also treated ourselves to a massage at the spa, which was a great experience. The staff were friendly and professional, and they even accommodated our request for a room overlooking the pool courtyard. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, as it was centrally located for walking around the old fort and shops.
Felt like visiting family, no complaints.

We particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast; the variety offered at the restaurant was wide and tasty. the hotel's location was ideal as it was situated near all the interesting and historical sites of the city, making it perfect for sightseeing.
It lacked some essential storage shelves or tables, making us feel a little cramped at times.
